Neutral Loss Fault Correction Plan

Jun 10, 2020 4:54:47 AM / by Ganesh Karbele

Why did POWEReasy trip?

The site has experienced a loss of neutral. Such conditions are extremely critical in any facility. They are very difficult to identify by traditional protection devices or by manual checks. If the neutral loss event is left unmitigated then it can lead to a high voltage up to 440V being supplied to equipment that need 230V. This is one of the critical causes of electrical fires. POWEReasy has disconnected your supply to prevent equipment damage and fires.

What could be the root cause of the neutral loss fault?

A broken neutral wire caused by overheating, loose connection or rodents could lead to a neutral loss.

Can you use electricity under some precautions? What are these?

It is not recommended to use electricity till the physical break in neutral is identified and fixed.
